What's Paperclip?
Paperclip was set up in 2015 by Rich Woolley and Alan Small, who met at university in London. Rich and Alan wanted to create a marketplace where people could save money by swapping their unwanted items, rather than always having to buy new.
Paperclip allows us to get rid of the old items we have sitting in the attic and exchange them for the things we need. If you don’t want to trade for something else, you can also save money by buying second-hand goodies at a much lower than retail price, or sell your own items to make a bit of extra cash.
The marketplace currently has over 200,000 users swapping and selling their items all over the world!
How do I get it?
It’s available across the UK and internationally, and you can access Paperclip via a free app (iOS and Android) or you can access the desktop version online here Paperclip.

The app is free and unlike other online marketplaces, there are no fees for buying or even listing items!
What's new for 2018?

This year Paperclip will be introducing some cool new features to the marketplace. Users will soon be able to create groups to buy, sell and interact with those with similar hobbies and interests.
Paperclip will also be working with a number of Higher Education institutions to create safe, secure marketplaces for students on and off campus as well as working with bigger companies to develop tailored versions of the marketplace for their employees.
Not only this, but Paperclip will be further strengthening their relationship with MoneyMagpie to offer users the chance to win big through their monthly competitions and giveaways.
To get involved or to learn more about Paperclip, you can follow them on Facebook and on Twitter
